This policy explains how refunds and cancellations work for SafetyLight premium subscriptions and services. We strive to be fair and transparent in all our policies.

2. Subscription Cancellation

How to Cancel

  • You can cancel your subscription at any time through the app settings
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period
  • You will continue to have access to premium features until your subscription expires
  • No partial refunds are provided for unused time in the current billing period

After Cancellation

  • Your account will revert to the free plan
  • You will retain access to your data and basic features
  • Premium features will become unavailable
  • You can resubscribe at any time

3. Refund Policy

Eligible for Refund

  • First-time subscribers: Full refund within 7 days of initial purchase if you're not satisfied
  • Technical issues: If you experience service unavailability or bugs that significantly impact your experience
  • Duplicate charges: Any accidental double billing will be fully refunded
  • Unauthorized charges: Charges made without your consent will be investigated and refunded if verified

Not Eligible for Refund

  • Subscription periods after the first 7 days
  • Add-on purchases and cloud storage fees already consumed
  • Accounts terminated due to Terms of Service violations
  • Change of mind after the 7-day trial period

4. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund:

  2. Include your account email and the reason for your refund request
  3. We will respond within 3-5 business days
  4. Approved refunds are processed within 5-10 business days

5. Payment Processing

Refunds are issued through the original payment method:

  • Credit/Debit Card (Stripe): 5-10 business days to appear on your statement
  • PayPal: 3-5 business days to your PayPal balance

6. Free Trial

We offer a 30-day grace period for new users to explore the app. During this period:

  • You have access to basic premium features
  • No payment information is required
  • After the grace period, you can choose to subscribe or continue with the free plan
